I had a molar extracted without ligament removal. Now have bone loss. I asked the surgeon about the ligament removal after procedure (unfortunately did not know at time of procedure), and was told that the ligament comes away with the tooth and no need to worry. This tooth had a partial root canal treatment - I should have had it treated a lot sooner. I think the bacteria has been in my system a long time and contributed to bone loss. Is there anything I can do now and how do I know if I have a cavitation in bone? Thanks

i had 4 premolars and my 4 wisd teeth removed and i’ve been feeling so much more uglier.. my face looks recessed and my smile doesn’t look full anymore. i lost a good amount of volume from my face.. and i bite my tongue a lot more often!!!! i don’t know what to do and i miss my old smile.. i’ve been so sad and feeling ungrateful over this.

For me the extraction was a good choice, luckily. I got my lateral incisors removed on the top only, because they were so small they couldn’t even put brackets on them. They were overlapping both my central incisors and my canines, it was just untreatable. They removed them and put braces on my other teeth, and treatment went very smooth and quick for me. Just a few gaps to close.

So why not just pull all your teeth before it gets too bad and get dentures while you still have the gums instead of paying $60,000 for implants

How many months it's will be set?

I was just diagnosed with sleep apnea yesterday and was SO confused. Nothing in my routine had changed over the years EXCEPT my orthodontic plan. I have always been overweight in every age group since age 5… but it looks like my slight underbite and more prolonged jawline, gave me enough room for my tongue and breathing at night. My breathing issues, literally started after the shifting of my bite within the last 6-8 months. Again, with no real change in my routine, I started to gain weight behind my poorer sleep at night. I started to feel too fatigued during the day to actually workout… started taking naps during the afternoon and even mornings when I am not a napper, ordinarily. Trying to correct an oral aesthetic has now quite literally created HEALTH PROBLEMS. I’m now at risk of premature heart attack and diabetes behind sleep apnea that “coincidentally” developed once my bite shifted with these braces 🫠 Because I was already overweight, my medical team didn’t make the connection… they just started suggesting that I lose my excess weight which I’ve done before… but knew something else was wrong when the weight seemed to not be coming off… this past week, I was told that a side effect of sleep apnea IS all of my new health issues AND an inability to lose weight because the oxygen in my body is lower, especially at night which decreases metabolic rates, increases cortisol in the body, due to the stress my body has been going through to breath at night… and more stress in my heart which has led to me huffing and puffing behind simple movements. I now have been prescribed a CPAP and I’m not even 40!!! 🥲 Thank you SO much for your video. I decided to put on my critical thinking cap and typed “braces and sleep apnea” in the search bar on UA-cam… Again, the main clue was knowing that braces and my bite shifting has been the only new change in my life smh. I pick up my CPAP machine next week to solve my breathing issue at night. The sleep professionals from my medical team, claim that it will lead to me losing weight again, which will also help prevent any further collapse of my airway at night. As for my tongue placement, it has been more crammed in my mouth now that I no longer have an underbite. Could mewing help me?

I got my 4 premolars removed because my top canine was impacted. I didn’t have enough space in my mouth for it to come down so it was stuck. My teeth were also very crooked and flared. It’s been a year since I got my braces and everything seems fine. I’ve noticed that my facial structure has become better. My jawline became sharper and my face became slimmer. Now seeing all these comments am scared about what might happen in the future.

I am getting my braces tomorrow i am super scared as i also have space issues and overbite but for now my orthodontist said not to remove and she will see after 4 months if the flaring thing happens she like warned me about it but i realllyyyy don't want to extract any of my teeth pls any suggestions should i go for braces or not?
